Demi-god and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo was honored in his hometown of Madeira, Portugal earlier today with the dedicating of the local airport in his name and the unveiling of a bust forged in a black hole of nightmares.
Local officials decided to honor Ronaldo for his team’s improbable victory over France in the 2016 Euros, battling out a 1-0 victory in OT after watching Ronaldo leave in the first half with a knee injury.
The dedication was met with stark criticism by some locals believing a more worthy person should have earned the honor, however, Portugal President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa weighed in it’s favor, calling Rondaldo “an example of excellence” in his speech.
As for the bust itself, I say we melt that shit Chucky II style and send it to Hell along with Sinister Tom Brady.
